pedal to the metal, she fled home with her life in tact |
9 |
Behind her ran that rabbit. "Come back. Come back," that rabbit yelled. Alice stopped and turned. To the rabbit she said . . . |
10 |
Home i must go, to never return |
11 |
"Then I shall go with you," the rabbit exclaimed. "Alice, my dear, we must'nt be apart." "Go away rabbit," Alice cried. "If you follow me I shall be forced to render your little fluffy tail . . . |
12 |
I will tear it off if you come!" "I must leave you now" |
13 |
"Then go, Alice," the rabbit said. "i will be there and you won't even know." Rabbit followed Alice until he found a hole to jump into There, he watched Alice as she wrote in a book, a diary. Rabbit read it one day. It said . . . |

Isn't it good that rabbits have no common sense |
15 |
"Rabbits have no common sense?" read the Rabbit. Why of course we don't,he thought to himself. We have SUPERIOR sense! Alice should know this, she's been to Wonderland. Oh, what shall I do? What shall I do? |
16 |
And still, with all their proclaimed SUPERIOR sense, they wonder- and can't figure it out! It's called 'common sense' and, knowing how to drive. And get the hell out of dodge- Alice, has been to wonderland- but, she left. "no, wait... went right..." she's gone, silly rabbit. |
17 |
So rabbit, dejected and defeated went back to Oz . . I mean Wonderland. |

Alice sighed, glad to be alone. She smoothed her dress, preened in the hall of mirrors. She spun lazily, suspended within the center of an infinitely faceted crystal. She receded into all directions. She pirouetted prettily, all of sudden missing home. Then she wasn't alone. The cat's smile. |
19 |
That cat's smile. He, with all the pearly white teeth. And that grin, what is that about? Alice found she had the time to think of such inane things as a cat with a grin. "Where are you , rabbit?" Alice wondered. "come back," she whimpered, looking at the cat. |

But, the rabbit refused the request. He had better things to do. And so did the cat. Turning, grinning, he was off- in pursuit of a mouse. And Alice directed her attention to something much more important, her new bra, and shoes. |

At the shop the clerk said "Stop!" "We are closed. Didn't you see the sign, silly girl?" Alice looked to where the woman pointed with a crooked, arthritic finger. A sign read Sorry - Out of Clothes. Please Come Again. "There is nothing left. Now out child." said the clerk. |
22 |
Silly woman, "don't tell me there's nothing left to shop for." Cat isn't receiving any messages; too busy, out hunting. |
verse
23 |
And without a further atom of thought. The Cat went off to his happy hunting ground. And there he found a mouse in court. A renowned. Blind Justice. Distraught. |
24 |
Meanwhile, Alice's bra arrived. While she'd wished it had more padding, it would simply have to do. |
25 |
Tonight is the Justice Ball, a most formal event held each year to pick the fairest maiden in the borough. Alice had never won. She had hoped the bra would push up her chances of grabbing this year's prize. Alas, with this under padded bra, Alice lost all confidence. |
26 |
In everything- except her own vulnerability. A bra can't buy you that. A shoe can't ensure you proper measurement. Fetishes, fetishes, fetishes. Will you be an object- will you choose a material world? Surprisingly, she didn't wonder. Instead, she knew-fetishes stand for something- ritual and ryhthm. |
27 |
And, sometimes, a jolly good time. |
28 |
Good times that ensured... ****ing oneself time after time. 'Love to go there' they all replied, to the nobody that bothered to ask. How many times do I have to ask? remarked the nameless one. "We don't really know" was the chorus. 'Really?' That was the one unknowable question. |
verse
29 |
But you never have to ask again No, not ever again For the jolly ladies are here To make you come again, again, again! |
30 |
"Oh, my!" said Alice. "Never have I seen such behavior." Covering her blue eyes Alice turned and turned Her dress whipping around and around. The room blurred until Alice plopped onto her butt. Looking around she saw a double rainbow. Golden goblets glowed at each end, sending spiralling shots soaring. |
