hysteria flowers in a pit of stomach
rooting in florid soil
rich in decomposing
memories
the sap slinks from eyes
tapped by mascara wands
curlers lashing
the spigot A dying orchid takes a breath
the air it dies
upon its touch
decay
A nightmare to a dream
you wake to know
your ego
intact The lies fly in between
In ears to brain and lips
Teeth shattering
Embraces Quietly
The dahlias dwell
While the daisies scream
Innocence Innocence
Each flower reaching for it
Wanting nothing more
Unable to grasp
rooting in florid soil
rich in decomposing
memories
the sap slinks from eyes
tapped by mascara wands
curlers lashing
the spigot A dying orchid takes a breath
the air it dies
upon its touch
decay
A nightmare to a dream
you wake to know
your ego
intact The lies fly in between
In ears to brain and lips
Teeth shattering
Embraces Quietly
The dahlias dwell
While the daisies scream
Innocence Innocence
Each flower reaching for it
Wanting nothing more
Unable to grasp
